What to do at night on your trip to Jaco!
Jaco Beach, Costa Rica is expanding to much more than the sleepy beachfront town it once was. It has become a hub of tourist activity and thenightlifein the area has grown accordingly. During the day, a casual walk down the main road will provide many delightful shopping opportunities. Vendors sell everything from swimwear and clothing, surfboards and outdoor apparel, to locally made art and fresh local produce. The popular Beatle Bar, situated near the North end, caters to the American demographic. Many anglers and sports fishers can be found here. Down the street, the Monkey Bar attracts a younger crowd. Another option is a night at the Casino. There are numerous large Casinos in the area, including The Hard Rock Casino, The Marriott Casino, and Hotel & Casino Cocal. Play Texas hold em seven days a week, rummy, roulette, table games, slot machines, and more. Have a cocktail at the bar, play a few hands of poker, and relax.
Of course, the dining choices in Jaco Beach leave nothing to be desired. With Cuisine ranging from casual to elegant dining, and with just about every nationality represented, including Italian, French, Israeli, Japanese, Argentinean, Pacific Rim and more, every palette will be satisfied in Jaco Beach. Try the casual Jaco Tacos famous fish tacos, or Chewey’s new York Style pizza, which serves up American style favorites like Cheese steaks as well as thick crust pizza. Try a traditional Costa Rica style lunch, called Casado, a meal traditionally made up of rice and beans with plantains accompanied by beef, chicken, fish or pork. Casado is available at many locations in Jaco beach, from the high end hotels to little vendors on the street corner. For a five star experience, try The Nine, a fine dining restaurant which serves gourmet cuisine accompanied by a large selection of international wines.
